The Maybes — $2 Dahlia Tubers

Not every viable dahlia tuber looks perfect.

The Maybes are tubers that may grow — and often do — but don’t meet the visual or structural standards we require for our regular listings. As we divide thousands of dahlias each season, we set aside tubers with no obvious eye yet, but also no clear reason they wouldn’t be viable.

These are inspired by the “discard pile” on our farm — the same pile where we consistently see eyes form, shoots emerge, and perfectly healthy plants surprise us year after year.

Why “The Maybes”?

These tubers may show one or more of the following:

• No visible eye at time of division

• Very small crown space

• Tiny or underdeveloped mother tuber

• Cosmetic flaws or irregular shape

• Slight wrinkling

• Or a combination of the above

They show no sign of rot, mold, nor intentionally damaged — just imperfect.

What varieties are included?

The Maybes are a mixed selection of tubers from all dahlia varieties we grow, including those listed AND NOT LISTED on our website.
Individual varieties are not labeled or guaranteed.

• These tubers may or may not grow.

• Sold as-is, with no guarantees of viability.

• No refunds or replacements for non-sprouting tubers.

At just $2 per tuber, The Maybes are an incredibly fun and affordable way to experiment with dahlia tubers, especially for growers with space, curiosity, and patience.
