Dahlia ‘Mikayla Miranda’

A true showstopper, ‘Mikayla Miranda’ unfurls sumptuous dinnerplate blooms in a cool, romantic palette—creamy white and blush petals brushed with lavender-lilac at the tips, sometimes kissed with soft berry streaks. Each flower opens in plush, layered waves that glow in photographs and steal the scene in person. With long, upright stems and generous production from midseason on, this beauty is made for aisle-worthy bouquets and statement arrangements.

Garden Reverie

Imagine armfuls of moonlit plates, each bloom painted with lilac at the edges—elegant, dramatic, and impossible to ignore. ‘Mikayla Miranda’ is the head-turner that makes every garden path and every photo sing.

Planting & Growing Guide

Dahlias thrive in full sun and well-draining soil. Plant tubers after all danger of frost has passed, 4–6″ deep and spaced 12–18″ apart depending on variety size. Pinch plants at ~12″ tall to encourage bushier growth and more blooms. Provide sturdy support—dinnerplate varieties benefit from staking and disbudding for the largest flowers. Water consistently (avoid soggy soil) and deadhead regularly to extend the season. In cooler regions, lift tubers after frost, cure them, and store in a cool, dry place for replanting next year.

Materials

Single viable root of which to propagate a dahlia from the parent plant.

Shipping & Returns

Please allow two business days to prepare for shipping. The tuber is not packed in long term storage material, please ensure you are prepared to plant or store the tubers properly. It is the customers responsibility to care for the tuber after it arrives.

Dimensions

Dahlia tubers come in all shapes and sizes. Please note a certain shape or size does not produce a better or worse quality plant. Ugly tubers make beautiful plants!

Care Instructions

Dahlia Tubers need to store in a cool and dark place. I use water misted vermiculite. Please note that I am in zone 11 and your planting zone may likely need a completely different method of storage. Our tubers are shipped with the intention of the customer planting right away. Please look up proper dahlia planting for your zone.
