Dahlia ‘Honeymoon’

Warm as a late-summer glow, ‘Honeymoon’ opens large, glowing blooms in soft orange that wash to honey-gold toward the heart. The petals layer in relaxed, full symmetry, creating a lush, luminous presence on the plant and in the hand. A generous producer with strong, useful stems, this beauty lights up borders and bouquets from midseason through frost.

Planting & Growing Guide

Dahlias thrive in full sun and well-draining soil. Plant tubers after all danger of frost has passed, 4–6″ deep and spaced 12–18″ apart depending on variety size. Pinch at ~12″ tall to encourage bushier growth and more blooms. Provide sturdy support for upright stems. Water consistently (avoid soggy soil) and deadhead regularly to extend flowering. In cooler regions, lift tubers after frost, cure, and store in a cool, dry place for replanting next year.

Materials

Single viable root of which to propagate a dahlia from the parent plant.

Shipping & Returns

Please allow two business days to prepare for shipping. The tuber is not packed in long term storage material, please ensure you are prepared to plant or store the tubers properly. It is the customers responsibility to care for the tuber after it arrives.

Dimensions

Dahlia tubers come in all shapes and sizes. Please note a certain shape or size does not produce a better or worse quality plant. Ugly tubers make beautiful plants!

Care Instructions

Dahlia Tubers need to store in a cool and dark place. I use water misted vermiculite. Please note that I am in zone 11 and your planting zone may likely need a completely different method of storage. Our tubers are shipped with the intention of the customer planting right away. Please look up proper dahlia planting for your zone.
