Fawn
There’s a warmth to Fawn that feels like the last rays of sunlight spilling over the fields. Blooms glow in a blend of coral, apricot, and soft salmon — colors that shift with the light, vibrant under the midday sun and honeyed in the evening. Each petal is gently layered and softly curved, giving the flower a graceful fullness without losing its airy elegance.

On the plant, Fawn is generous, sending bloom after bloom on strong, slender stems that make harvest a joy. Up close, faint striations ripple across the petals, adding texture and depth to its already captivating palette. In the vase, it holds beautifully — pairing as easily with bright summer tones as with the richer, moodier hues of autumn.

Specifications:

  • Bloom Size: 3–4 inches

  • Color: Coral-apricot with salmon undertones and deeper coral centers

  • Height: 3–4 feet

  • Bloom Time: Mid-season to frost

  • Use: Exceptional for cutting, versatile in both bright and moody arrangements

A flower that catches the light — and the eye — Fawn brings a glow to the garden that lingers long after the sun slips away.

Garden Reverie

Imagine handfuls of peach-blush waterlilies, each bloom a calm little sunrise—polished, luminous, and quietly romantic. ‘Fawn’ brings effortless elegance to every arrangement and bed.

Planting & Growing Guide

Dahlias thrive in full sun and well-draining soil. Plant tubers after frost danger has passed, 4–6″ deep and 12–18″ apart. Pinch at ~12″ to encourage bushiness and more blooms. Provide support as plants stretch. Water consistently (avoid waterlogging) and deadhead to extend the show. In cooler regions, lift, cure, and store tubers after frost for replanting next year.

Materials

Single viable root of which to propagate a dahlia from the parent plant.

Shipping & Returns

Please allow two business days to prepare for shipping. The tuber is not packed in long term storage material, please ensure you are prepared to plant or store the tubers properly. It is the customers responsibility to care for the tuber after it arrives.

Dimensions

Dahlia tubers come in all shapes and sizes. Please note a certain shape or size does not produce a better or worse quality plant. Ugly tubers make beautiful plants!

Care Instructions

Dahlia Tubers need to store in a cool and dark place. I use water misted vermiculite. Please note that I am in zone 11 and your planting zone may likely need a completely different method of storage. Our tubers are shipped with the intention of the customer planting right away. Please look up proper dahlia planting for your zone.
