Dahlia ‘CT Penny’
Cheerful and refined, ‘CT Penny’ opens into glowing formal decorative blooms in a soft coppery-orange, warmed with golden undertones that shimmer in the sun. Each bloom, averaging 4–5″ across, is perfectly arranged in layers of luminous petals. Strong 4 ft stems carry the flowers with elegance, making this variety as practical in the cutting garden as it is beautiful in the vase.

Planting & Growing Guide
Dahlias thrive in full sun and well-draining soil. Plant tubers after all danger of frost has passed, 4–6″ deep and spaced 12–18″ apart depending on variety size. Pinch plants when ~12″ tall to encourage bushy growth and more blooms. Provide sturdy support for stems. Water consistently (avoid soggy soil) and deadhead regularly to extend flowering. In cooler regions, lift tubers after frost, cure them, and store in a cool, dry place for replanting the following year.

Dahlia Tubers need to store in a cool and dark place. I use water misted vermiculite. Please note that I am in zone 11 and your planting zone may likely need a completely different method of storage. Our tubers are shipped with the intention of the customer planting right away. Please look up proper dahlia planting for your zone.
