Planting & Growing Guide
Dahlias thrive in full sun and well-draining soil. Plant tubers after all danger of frost has passed, 4–6″ deep and spaced 12–18″ apart depending on variety size. Pinch plants when ~12″ tall to encourage bushy growth and more blooms. Provide sturdy support for tall stems. Water consistently (avoid soggy soil) and deadhead regularly to prolong flowering. In cooler regions, lift tubers after frost, cure them, and store in a cool, dry place for replanting the following year.
