Planting & Growing Guide
Dahlias thrive in full sun and well-draining soil. Plant tubers after all danger of frost has passed, about 4–6″ deep and spaced 12–18″ apart depending on variety size. Pinch young plants around 12″ tall to encourage robust branching and fuller bloom. Provide sturdy support for upright stems. Water consistently while avoiding soggy conditions, and deadhead regularly to extend the bloom season. In colder climates, lift tubers after frost, cure them in a dry, ventilated space, and store in a cool, dry place for replanting the following year.

Dahlia Tubers need to store in a cool and dark place. I use water misted vermiculite. Please note that I am in zone 11 and your planting zone may likely need a completely different method of storage. Our tubers are shipped with the intention of the customer planting right away. Please look up proper dahlia planting for your zone.
