Planting & Growing Guide
Dahlias thrive in full sun and well-draining soil. Plant tubers once the danger of frost has passed, about 4–6″ deep and spaced 12–18″ apart depending on variety size. Pinch young shoots at ~12″ tall to encourage bushier growth and more blooms. Provide sturdy support, especially for taller stems. Water consistently (avoid soggy soil) and deadhead regularly to extend the season. In cooler climates, lift tubers after frost, cure in a dry area, and store in a cool, dry spot for replanting next season.
