Dahlia ‘20th Ave Softer Peach’

Like a whisper of sunrise painted in petals, ‘20th Ave Softer Peach’ blooms in perfect symmetry—its soft, papaya-toned spheres edged with just a hint of coral glow. Layer upon layer of gently reflexed petals form a formal decorative bloom that feels both structured and soothing. Rising on strong stems around 4 to 4½ feet, each flower floats above the foliage like a delicate sunburst—consistent, elegant, and endlessly generous.

Planting & Growing Guide

Dahlias thrive in full sun and well-draining soil. Plant tubers after all danger of frost has passed, 4–6" deep and spaced 12–18" apart depending on variety size. Pinch young plants at about 12" tall to encourage bushiness and more blooms. Provide sturdy support for taller stems. Water consistently, but avoid waterlogging, and deadhead regularly to extend the bloom season. In cooler regions, lift tubers after frost, cure them, and store in a cool, dry place for replanting the following year.

Materials

Single viable root of which to propagate a dahlia from the parent plant.

Shipping & Returns

Please allow two business days to prepare for shipping. The tuber is not packed in long term storage material, please ensure you are prepared to plant or store the tubers properly. It is the customers responsibility to care for the tuber after it arrives.

Dimensions

Dahlia tubers come in all shapes and sizes. Please note a certain shape or size does not produce a better or worse quality plant. Ugly tubers make beautiful plants!

Care Instructions

Dahlia Tubers need to store in a cool and dark place. I use water misted vermiculite. Please note that I am in zone 11 and your planting zone may likely need a completely different method of storage. Our tubers are shipped with the intention of the customer planting right away. Please look up proper dahlia planting for your zone.
