Planting & Growing Guide
Dahlias thrive in full sun and well-draining soil. Plant tubers once the danger of frost has passed, about 4–6″ deep and spaced 12–18″ apart depending on variety size. Pinch young shoots at ~12″ tall to encourage robust growth and fuller bloom presentation. Provide sturdy support as stems reach upward. Water consistently while avoiding waterlogging, and deadhead regularly to prolong the flowering season. In cooler climates, lift tubers after the first frost, cure them in a dry area, and store in a cool, dry place for replanting next year.
